Ruben Rodriguez is a PhD chemical engineer with more than 12 years' experience in Technology development for the renewable energy sector, process design in oil & gas industry working with research institutions and engineering EPC contractors. Ruben started in South America working in sugar industry and Ethanol processes. He graduated as a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Surrey University where he then worked as a Research Fellow designing and scaling up PRB reactors for the treatment of underground polluted waters. He then joined the EPC industry working for Foster Wheeler in GTL and LNG projects and then moved to Shaw group where he worked in Renewable energy technologies mainly Gas to Liquids, Coal to Liquids and second generation Biofuels.
Highlights of Ruben's career include having been involved in the SEREBAR project which was awarded best project in Europe in 2004 and two further world awards with the same project as most innovative technology given in New York in 2005. Ruben also brings experience in dynamic modelling of reactors and extensive process design knowledge in GTL.
