ABB Ltd has designed & manufactured a bespoke control system for Gas2 to allow multiple Syngas and FT reactors to be run continuously & simultaneously. This is an automated system which will enable Gas2 to undertake failsafe 24/7 operation in the laboratories and is part of Gas2’s plan to demonstrate the Gas2 porous membrane reactors pMR™ technology endurance capabilities.
The plant was commissioned and fully active in May 2011.
